Competing is often considered a bad thing, but it is, in fact, one of the most useful things for advancement. The competition are the the best teachers, and here’s why!
If something already exists, there’s a model you can work by
Being first in something requires remarkable strength, perseverance and resilience. Instead of seeing somebody from your profession as competition, thank them for paving the way for you! You don’t have to go down the same road. Have someone to look up to and learn from. When you see things that way, you will realize that the competition are not your enemies, but allies!
If somebody is already doing what you would like to do, it means there’s a market!
The competition is a sign that there’s a market and that is something you should be grateful for. This does not mean that you should only copy others. Be your own, be unique. Add more value to the money. Offer a service in an entirely creative way. Make them remember you!
No one can be you!
You are unique. You have a unique gift, special talents, opinions, ideas and opinions – and when you start listening to yourself (and not the society), the concept of competition will become meaningless to you.
Ask you friends and family what your talents are, because we often can’t see our value.
There is something you can offer to others – find it and help people with your services.
The competition gives you insight into what you don’t want to do
It is important not to repeat things you don’t like in others.
It is difficult to know what you want if you don’t know what you don’t want. Therefore, every time you don’t like somebody’s service, remember it and change the approach in your own business.
If you keep learning and developing, the competition will not bother you
If you keep learning and developing, if you are expanding your views, knowledge, mind, approach to world, etc, you will never have to worry about the competition. However, you have to do something with that knowledge! Remember that doing practical things is the most important thing.
If you act regularly, you will not have to think about the competition, because you will be miles ahead of the people who only talk, and not work!
Even if somebody tries to copy you, they will not succeed – they will only manage to reach what you once were, and not what you are now.
If your intention is honest and well-meaning, the competition is not important
If your offer comes from an honest intention to help others and not to indulge yourself, there is no competition. Be honest. Give yourself to others. Care for the change you want to cause. When you thoughtfully combine your talents with the desire to help others, everything will come into place.
