The Interreg-IPA cross-border cooperation program of Hungary and Serbia, co-financed through the IPA fund, has placed the second invitation for gathering of project proposals, with the total amount of IPA funds of EUR 21.5 million. The money is meant for projects and activities in the border region of Hungary and Serbia, states the report by the Interreg-IPA program.
The invitation is
open until January 31, 2017, and is meant for the projects aiming to make a positive impact on the border region, within one of the following
priorities: improving cross-border systems for water management and risk prevention, reducing traffic bottlenecks in the cross-border transport network, stimulating cooperation in the area of tourism and preserving cultural heritage, or improving economic competitiveness of small and medium enterprises through innovative development.
The projects must be carried out within the program areas, comprised of
West Backa, North Backa, North Banat, South Backa, Middle Banat and Srem (in Serbia), as well as Bacs-Kiskun and Csongrad counties in Hungary.
It is necessary that the projects contain a cross-border element – to be made up of at least one organization from Hungary and Serbia each. Non-profit or private organizations, whose headquarters or regional offices are located within the program areas, can submit a joint project proposal and, if selected, implement it together.
Applications must be made electronically, through the IMIS 2014-2020 Application Module, which can be accessed at the program's website at www.interreg-ipa-husrb.com.
The projects selected for financing need to last at least six months and no longer than 24 months.
During the second invitation, the program will provide assistance to applicants through the
Joint Secretariat and the
Antenna of the Joint Secretariat. In addition to that, applicants can find partner organization through the
Partner Search at the program's website. The results will be published in
June 2017.
