Grants of up to EUR 100,000 for projects of strengthening of EU integration in Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro

The Balkan Trust for Democracy (BTD) of the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Belgrade have opened the Strengthening of EU Integration call intending to contribute to the process of reforms and the perspective of the EU membership of the Western Balkans countries.

The general goal of this call is to contribute to democratic consolidation, institutional reforms and permanent peace and stability in Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia, through supporting OCD initiatives pertaining to the EU integration process, focusing on specific negotiation chapters, namely: Chapter 5 – Public Procurement, Chapter 8 – Competition Policy, Chapter 23 – Judiciary and Fundamental Rights, Chapter 24 – Justice, Freedom and Security, Chapter 32 – Financial Control and Chapter 35 – Other Issues: Relations with Kosovo (Serbia only).

As said, individual grants will be allocated in the amounts of 25,000 to 100,000 euros, and civil society organizations from Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia may apply.

The project execution period is 12 months, and the contest is open throughout the year.
