RSD 3 Million from Pirot Agriculture Fund for Expansion of Accommodation Capacities

The mayor of Pirot, Vladan Vasic, announced today that financial aid would be provided from the Pirot Agriculture Fund to registered agricultural properties for the purpose of expansion of accommodation capacities in rural areas.

– Around RSD 3 million will be set aside for this purpose, and up to 50% and no more than RSD 300,000 of the total sum of the investment will be financed – Vasic told Beta.

He specified that the funds were meant for the adaptation, construction, repair and reconstruction of facilities.

According to him, agricultural properties located in the Stara Planina Nature Park and in certain villages within the “Jerma” Special Nature Reserve may apply.

He added that owners of agricultural properties, natural persons and legal entities were all eligible and that at least 10 projects would be financed.

– One of the conditions is for facilities with at least four beds to be categorized. The local self-government aims to double the capacities in rural areas, currently at around 110, in the next four years – Vasic said.
