EUR 130 Million for Bypass Route Around Novi Sad and New Bridge

The mayor of Novi Sad, Milos Vucevic, has announced that the first session of the working group for the realization of the project of the construction of the bypass route around Novi Sad and a new bridge has been held, whereby the route will be connected with the Fruska Gora Corridor, the construction of which is to start soon.

He said on his Instagram profile that the project would entirely change that part of Serbia in terms of infrastructure, which is of regional importance as well.

According to him, three bids have been made by Chinese companies for the execution of the works, the procedure is to be carried out by the PE Corridors of Serbia, and the estimated value of the works, around EUR 130 million, is to be covered by the Republic of Serbia.

Vucevic also added that it was a big step for Novi Sad and that he agreed with Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirovic at the meeting that all the preparatory works went as planned.
