Representatives of the Government of Serbia and the PE Roads of Serbia have signed a commercial agreement on the designing and the execution of the works on the construction of an access route to the Milos Veliki highway, Gornji Milanovac-Takovo Interchange, with representatives of the Power Construction Corporation of China.

On the Serbian side, the agreement was signed by the minister of construction, Tomislav Momirovic, and the acting director of Roads of Serbia, Zoran Drobnjak, and the signing was attended by the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and the ambassador of China to Serbia, Chen Bo.

Also, the framework agreement on the realization of the project of the construction of bypass routes around Pozega, Uzice, Loznica and the tunnel beneath Kadinjaca was signed.

The access traffic route Gornji Milanovac-Takovo Interchange, is 9.4 kilometers long, of which 4.7 kilometers of a new road will be built from “The Tank” to Klaticevo, whereas 4.7 kilometers of the existing road will be reconstructed between Klaticevo and Takovo. The works should start in April 2022.

The bypass route around Pozega will be 3.8 kilometers long and connect the first-grade state-road Cacak-Pozega-Uzice and the first-grade state-road Kosjeric-Pozega-Arilje with the Pozega Interchange on the highway to Montenegro, which is under construction.

The bypass route around Uzice, around 4.8 kilometers long, will be in the highway profile and part of the highway to Montenegro.

The bypass route around Loznica, 13.6 kilometers long and 30 meters wide, is part of the project of the construction of the fast route Valjevo-Loznica.

There will be 16 intersections with local roads on the bypass route – seven surface ones, of which three roundabouts, six underpasses and three overpasses.

The tunnel beneath Kadinjaca, 1,260 meters long, should shorten the road from Uzice to Bajina Basta by six kilometers and facilitate the traffic by bypassing several sharp curves beneath Kadinjaca, which are also fairly inaccessible during snowfall, so the existing road Dub-Dubci is often closed in the winter. The reconstructed road will be 6.28 kilometers long.
