The City of Krusevac has put the Detailed Regulation Plan Eastern Bypass Route – Jug up for public view until September 16. The need for the preparation of this plan arose from the fact that it is necessary to secure a bypass route around the city.

The plan determines public purpose areas, that is, the section of the public road, structures, with additional elements (lane, sidewalk, intersections, public lighting, bicycle and pedestrian lanes), that is, equipment which is suitable for a Ib-grade corridor.

The DRP Eastern Bypass Route – Jug in Krusevac secures a bypass route around the city – an eastern bypass route and its connecting to the Ia-grade state road (E761 highway) through the Krusevac – Istok interchange.

The approximate length of the planned route from the crossing of Jastrebacki Put Street with the Eastern Bypass Route, on the eastern side, to the connection with Bruski Put Street on the western side, is close to 1,150 m. The plan covers an area of approximately 14 ha.

The part of the Eastern Bypass Route which is the subject of the plan is located on undeveloped land. The main goal of the planning is the creation of the conditions for the realization of a public road which secures a permanent bypassing of the city center.

The aims of the preparation of the plan are to create conditions for developing the space for the construction of a modern traffic route with the purpose of moving transit and cargo traffic out of the city, the solving of property-legal relations with the aim of expropriation of areas, the defining of a detailed purpose of areas and facilities, the organization, equipping and development of the space and the establishing of a traffic matrix and harmonization with the established traffic matrix in the area.

The planned predominant purpose of the areas covered by the DRP are a city park, commercial activities, sports and recreation.

The plan is for the route to consist of two lanes 8 meters wide with a traffic island 3 meters wide and sidewalks on both sides 3 meters wide. Two intersections are planned on the route: the crossing with Bruski Put Street and the crossing with the IIb-grade road no. 415 – V. Jastrebac.

When it comes to the city park and sports and recreation, purposes covered by the DRP, it is said that, in the greenery zone, construction is forbidden, except for traffic routes meant for the servicing.

– The planned facilities within the sports and recreation purpose need to comprise a single functional and aesthetic unit, and the architectural features of the facilities need to be harmonized with their sports purpose – the document says.

The realization of the plan is expected to permanently solve the bypassing of the city center and its connecting to the highway E761 through the Krusevac Istok interchange and to harmonize the urban development and develop the area.
