Public solar charger for mobile phones, an invention of Serbian students gathered at the Strawberry energy company was awarded as the best startup project at the Verge conference in San Francisco.

How to use river energy, test water quality in easier way, become energy detective are only some of the ideas which the business starters worldwide presented in San Francisco. But, the best ones are from Serbia – jury and the audience decided that the Strawberry energy is the best startup.

The award collide their plan to penetrate the American market next year.

The objective of the conference is, first of all, to get new contacts. Ideas and partnerships are made after lectures, at breaks.

- We had intensive three days and met over 100 people – a young inventor says.

They stayed at the mini American tour for a month. They will have a large number of meetings as well as taking part at the Fair of green campuses and schools in Los Angeles. They will come back to Belgrade, they hope, with experience, the award and a business offer.
