Gas price increases by 3,6% - Higher prices for households as of November 15

As of Saturday, November 1, 2014, gas in Serbia will be more expensive for 3,6% on the average while for households it will increase by 3,3% starting November 15.

New average gas price for all consumers will total RSD 45 and RSD 49 for all households per cubic meter (VAT excl.),the Agency for Energy announced..

The Council of the Agency for energy approved new natural gas prices for public supplying for 32 public suppliers which will become effective as of November 15 for households earliest and as of November 1 for other customers.

Gas price changed due to dollar exchange rate increased with which imported gas is paid and which during the last fifteen days of September totaled RSD 92,4. It is 4,3% more than the exchange rate used for current gas price. In the background of these changes is the dollar exchange rate increase compared to euro, it was stated at the Agency for energy.

In Serbia, 10% of households i.e. 249.000 of them have gas connection.
