Agreement signed on cooperation between chambers of commerce of Serbia, Montenegro, Republic of Srpska and Federation of BiH
In the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Užice, the Agreement on regional cooperation between the chambers of commerce in the river basin of the Drina has been signed. In the presence of the representatives of the Ministry of International Economic Relations of Serbia, CBIB project and guests from Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the Agreement was signed by the representatives of chambers of commerce of Montenegro, Serbia, Republic of Srpska, Federation of BiH, Valjevo, Bijeljina, East Sarajevo, Trebinje, Goražde Canton and Užice.
The aims of the Agreement are establishment and development of long-term cooperation between the signers, harmonization of mutual interest and the development of economy in the river basin of the Drina river. Dušan Majkić, the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Užice, which initiated this cooperation, pointed out that the Agreement encompassed the region in the river basin of the Drina on area of 39,000 square meters, with about 2,150,000 citizens, which represented great example of collaboration between the countries in the region, of which aim is the admission into European Union.
Čedomir Vukić, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, Vlado Vukmirović, the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, Borko Đurić, the representative of the Chamber of RS, as well as Avdo Rafa, the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of Federation of BIH, stated that the signing of the Agreement, after series of bad events from the recent past, was the symbol of the new time and way of thinking, as well as the wish that that region became part of Europe and developed world.
