Kladovo puts into operation the biggest solar electric power plant in Serbia
On Saturday, November 15, 214, the Minister of mining and energy, Aleksandar Antic, put into operation the biggest solar electric power plant in Serbia where the local investor poured EUR 3 m.
Antic outlined that after the biggest hydro power plant, Djerdap, Kladovo gets the biggest solar electric power plant in Serbia which makes the municipality the biggest solar energy producer.
- This is big day for Kladovo and the investor, Solaris energy as well as for the entire Serbia and the entire country energy system – Antic said and announced that the country will still support investments in renewable energy sources.
Solar plant at the Velesnica village at Kladovo is located on 4, 5 ha of land and solar panels occupy 13. 600 m2.
Total electric power strength power is two megawatts and the second plant block was released on Saturday while investors are announcing they will build another two blocks where they will pour additional there million euros.
