Petar Vukovic from Uzice wins car design world award

Industrial designer from Uzice, Petar Vukovic, won the award at the prestigious American "Michelin challenge design" competition, with his design of cars where wheels can rotate both horizontally and vertically.

- The main car feature is the possibility to rotate wheels horizontally and vertically. Specific wheel construction and tires enables nice control of wanted quantity of adhesion to floor – Vukovic (29) explains his futuristic car "rutsio" for Tanjug.

After Uzice-based grammar school, Petar Vukovic graduated at the Faculty of Applied Arts, industrial design department and his love for car design traces back in his early youth. He would like to do it in the future as well.

Speaking about the reward in the competition of more than a thousand works of artistic designers worldwide, he said it is a confirmation that the way he chose to go is the right one.

Design of his futuristic car “rusito” will be presented January13 to 26, 2015 at one of the biggest car shows in Detroit.
