Turkish Okan interested in investing in Serbia
The Okan holding, one of the leading corporations in Turkey is interested in investing in a number of sector of Serbian economy, from agriculture to textile industry. There are numerous options for mutual production with Serbian companies in export to third markets, mostly Russia due to advantages the Agreement of free trade offers, it was outlined at the meeting of Milivoj Mileic, the acting head of the president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and Bekir Okan, president of Holding. Mehmet Kemal Bozaj, the ambassador of Turkey in Belgrade also attended the meeting at SCC, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce announced at its website.
- Okan group has existed for 42 years, it has many project in Turkey and
abroad. We operate in trade, construction, agriculture and food industry, tourism
and health and we also have a large university Bekir Okan outlined when presenting the
corporation.
Okan Holding has 5.000 exmployees. The company owns products such as "sultan makarna" (pasta), "sultan bisküvi" (cookie) - "sekeleme" (candies) and Sultan Marketing. Total gross investments abroad are USD 500 m. Some of the investments are "Okan Intercontinental Astana", "Astana Presidency Residence", "Okan Merei İnterconti Mall" and residential complex, the National Museum in Kazakhstan, twin towers, diplomacy city and Avrasya bank. The Univeristy was set up in 1999.. It has 25 faculties and 17.000 students.
