Chinese CMEC wants to build thermal power plant in Novi Sad

Today, representatives of Chinese company, CMEC ("China Machinery Engineering Corporation") in their talks with the President of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic, confirmed their interest in participating at the construction of thermal power plant in Novi Sad and to start production at Fabrika automobila Priboj (Plant for car production Priboj) (FAP).

CMEC carries out the works on the rehabilitation of the Kostolac thermal power plant and yesterday it was agreed the company will build the second block as well in the thermal power plant.

As the press service of the President of Serbia announced, president of CMEC, Zhang Chun, said he expects the works in Kostolac will start very soon and that the project will end successfully.

Nikolic outlined Chinese companies operating in Serbia proved how quick and efficient at infrastructure works are but that, apart from that, they could find an interest to invest in production together with Serbian companies.
