Czech Kofola to acquire Radenska?
Pivovarna Lasko could sell today Radenska to Czech Kofola and its subsidiary Polic, it was unofficially announced by Slovenia media.
More sources confirmed for Slovenian Finance that Radenska will be sold. The magazine reports that owner of Kofola, Jannis Samaras, is coming to Slovenia with whom the president of the management at Lasko, Dusan Zorko, should sign sales contract.
Kofola, with 700 people is the second biggest Czech brewery for filling and bottling of drink and purchase of Radenska will strengthen its position in the region.
Radenska annually sells a hundred million liters of mineral waters and other drink and Pivovarna Lasko, which even after the sale of shares of Mercator still has high liabilities to banks, is planning to improve its financial situation through the funds which it receives.
The accounting value of Radenska at the moment totals EUR 100 m, while the value which the Czech buyer is paying is not known.
