SMATSA: Serbia needs direct air traffic with China

The head of the flight controls of Serbia and Montenegro (SMATSA) Radojica Rovcanin, has said today that today citizens who travel by plane are absolutely safe.


When reviewing the Third summit of the leaders of China and CEE, called “Belgrade encounter”, Rovcanin said that it would be good if Serbia had air traffic with China and that Belgrade will be one of the bridges between China and CEE.


In the Morning program of TV "Pink", Rovcanin said his company participated in the purchase of gamma knife for treatment with almost a million euros.


When journalists asked how much his company has paid to the Serbian budget, Rovcanin replied that based on various taxes and contributions, as well as for floods and donations, nearly EUR 30 m was paid.


Speaking about Nis airport, Rovcanin said SMATSA did everything required was done and that | the tower will be the finals most likely”.


Rovcanin announced that next year will see construction, i.e. reconstruction of the tower in Tivat and that preparations for another secondary tower in Besna kobila are underway.


He announced documentation for construction project for the tower in Belgrade which will be one of the monumental buildings at the airport has been prepared.


Rovcanin said his company is responsible for air space of Serbia, Montenegro, one part of the south Adriatic and 55% of space in upper air layer of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
