Germans are building three mini hydro power plants in Vrnjacka Banja - EES Group will pour EUR 60 m
The Vrnjacka Banja municipality and German EES Group have signed today agreement on construction of three mini hydro power plants in Vrnjacka Banja, where EUR 60 m will be invested.
The agreement on business and technical cooperation for renewable energy resources exploitation and hydro energy potential at the territory of the municipality implies construction of three mini hydro power plants at the Zapadna Morava, with total power of 26 MW.
The head of Slovenian EES Group branch office, Bostjan Zupancic and president
of the Vrnajcka Banja municipality, Boban Djurovic, signed the agreement.
He announced EES Group is planning by 2017 to build 18 mini hydro power plants
in a few municipalities in Serbia, Kraljevo, Prijepolje and Cicevac, where it
will invest EUR 29 m.
The German ambassador in Serbia, Heinz Wilhelm, who attended the agreement signing, outlined good cooperation of Serbia and Germany in energy field.
He added he expects Serbia can increase renewable energy sources exploitation.
