Republic of Srpska to get the most modern cardio-vascular clinic in the Balkans in 2016
President of the Republic of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, said he expects that early 2016 in Banja Luka, the most modern cardio clinic in the Balkans where some 4.000 surgeries can be done will start operating.
Dodik said architecture creation has been in progress and that construction works should start soon.
- We will not save on equipment and modern technologies or training of our doctors – Dodik said for Press Republika Srpska.
He added the project is very important for the Republic of Srpska and that in a way it completes its governance.
- It will be a serious institution which will, in line with our vision, be at the service not only to citizens of the Republic of Srpska but also to the entire region - Dodik outlined.
The head of the Institute for cardio vascular diseases, Dedinje, Bosko Djukanovic, said Banja Luka-based clinic will have everything Dedinje has and patients from entire region will come.
- As for now, the idea is that at the clinic only experts from Dedinje work since Republic of Srpska does not have adequate medical staff and we will very soon start training of young and talented doctors form the Republic of Srpska - Djukanovic said.
He added the clinic should employ some 200 people and for these needs completely new building designed by the American architect, Vlada Simovic, will be built.
