Vegetable cheese for export - Belanova dairy conquers foreign market

In a less than a year, the time Belanova dairy has been working in Lepenica at Vladicin Han, it conquered with its cheese with addition of vegetable fat domestic market. The company, owned by a Bulgarian company, has also exporting permit and has been working on signing the contracts with partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo and Metohija.

- Our product range comprises vegetable feta cheese, quark and two kinds of vegetable slice cheese. There is a tendency to start production of hard cheese next year. In the segment of production of cheese with vegetable fats we have already become market leader in Serbia. We are expanding the market outside the boundaries of our country. We hired 40 people and in case we continue this way, we are planning new hires . I am pleased we hired young in the municipality where unemployment rate is over 59% - Aleksandar Nikolic, Commercial Manager at Belanova, said.

-Our production halls expand on 4.000 m2 which requires serious milk quantities. We daily need some 80 tons but the entire Pcinja region does not have sufficient quantities while big milk producers in Serbia already have contracts with Imlek or other dairies – Nikolic said.
