Delhaize stays in Serbia - Shops rennovation underway in 2015
Belgium trade chain, Delhaize, is not planning to withdraw from Serbia and this year they will continue renovation of their sales shops, GM at Delhaize Srbij, John Kiricis, said.
He said to Beta agency that Serbia is for Delhaize group one of the key markets.
According to him, the best proof Delhaize is not planning to leave Serbian market is recent opening of distribution center in Stara Pazova, worth EUR 50 m.
He outlined the company has been operating in difficult economic environment but that despite to that, it is trying to find solutions so that customers would be satisfied with products they are offered as well as their price.
According to him, arrival of new trade chains in Serbia will not necessarily influence product prices decrease in retail shops.
Kiricis could not specify business results in Serbia, outlining they are shown within the Delhaize Group results for SEE and which in Q3 2014 increased by 3,7%, to EUR 751 m in real prices.
