EBRD has still been interested in Telekom, Dunav osiguranje and Nikola Tesla Airport
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has still been
interested in participating in privatization of Telekom Srbija, Belgrade’s airport
and Dunav osiguranje, president of the
bank for Serbia, Mateo Patrone, said.
Patrone said to journalists, after today’s presentation of the Report on
transition for 2014 developed by EBRD, that the bank is not interested in being
a privatization advisor when it comes to Telekom but it is interested in co-investing
with strategic partner or for funding the company which wins the tender.
- Privatization of Telekom is a good move since the company would on the contrary
lose value at the market– he said
He added that EBRD in the case of Dunav osiguranje as well is also interested in co-investing with strategic partner. Patrone estimated that the steps the government has undertaken when it comes to this insurance company are positive and that it is only necessary now to “work quickly”.
When it comes to the Nikola Tesla airport, EBRD is, as he says, interested in supporting
the Government of Serbia in implementation of concession tender.
