Regional SME center in Šabac
The Assembly of the Regional center for small and mid-sized enterprises for the Mačva and Kolubara regions has been formed in Šabac. The President of the Assembly is Svetomir Vešić, the Deputy Mayor of Šabac.
According to the announcement, the Center will be put into operation in June and it will be employing four people. Of total of 14 municipalities, the founders of the Center are Šabac, Valjevo, Koceljeva, Krupanj, Vladimirci, Bogatić, Osečina and Lajkovac, and the UN Agency gave donation of 12,000 USD for equipping of the Center and training of skilled personnel.
Branislav Savić, the expert councilor of UNDP, reminds that 14 regional center have been formed in Serbia so far and that they will much help entrepreneurs obtain information on loans, product marketing, design of business plans and tender documentation, as well as possibilities of export broadening and development of border collaboration.
The Chief of the Mačva region, Slobodan Damnjanović, pointed to the possibility that the newly formed institution becomes the Regional development center and the carrier of the business incubator project in Šabac. The works on infrastructural equipping of 500 ha in the industrial zone have already begun. That will be the most important investment in this part of Serbia.
