Serbia-Belarus Business Forum on February 18 in Belgrade

As part of the eighth session of the Intergovernment Committee for Trade and Economic Cooperation, a forum and bilateral talks will be held February 18th between Serbian and Belarus businessmen on the premises of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC), it was said at a meeting between Marko Cadez, president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and Vladimir Cusev, the Belarus ambassador to Belgrade, the SCC announced on its website.
The president of the SCC pointed out that Serbia and Belarus had an excellent basis for improving mutual economic relations as well as much potential that was not used enough.
- Agreements on economic cooperation, especially Free Trade Agreement, are a prerequisite for greater cooperation - Cadez said and added that it was also important to have meetings between the businessmen of the two countries held as frequently as possible.
The ambassador of Belarus voiced his expectation that the year 2015 would see the trade between Serbia and Belarus exceed USD 200 million. According to the data he presented, last year's trade between Serbia and Belarus was balanced, it was announced on the SCC website.
