Montenegro Airlines in negotiating with Etihad
Montenegrin airline, Montenegro Airlines is negotiating with Etihad Airways from UAE on business deal where they would share flights, Podgorica print reports.
So –called code sharing contract implies that airlines – signees of the agreement sell tickets at the flights which they share and decide whose planes will maintain the flight.
According to information of Podgorica’s Pobjeda, on behalf of the company from Abu Dhabi, former minister of finance of Serbia, Mladjan Dinkic, has been negotiating with Montenegrin airline.
Dinkic, however, as Podgorica media report, did not want to comment on his engagement since as he said “he does not make comments for media since he withdrew from policy”.
Montenegrin airline has similar contracts with two companies, French Air France and Air Serbia for the Tivat-Belgrade flights.
Montenegrin airline is in the privatization plan this year and the company from Abu Dhabi has shown interest in acquisition.
The condition, however, was to take part in ownership structure of Aerodromi Crne Gore which was not acceptable for Montenegrin party.
