Sale of Transpetrol property continues - Auction for fish pond due March 10
Trustee in bankruptcy at Transpetrol, Dragica Arsic, appointed for March 10 sale of this Secanj-based company as a legal entity, where the advertisement comprises unregistered fish pond for consuming carp breeding is numbered as the most important property. The initial price at the tender totals nearly RSD 142 m.
Thus, sale of property of formerly successful company will continue after silos and warehouses at the entrance to Secanj were sold. Novi Sad-based Agroglob acquired them for RSD 273 m, which was double than the initial price at public bidding. When it comes to facilities for reception, drying and storage of grains in Secanj and Sutjeska, whose initial price totaled some RSD 133 m, Novi Sad-based Agrotrading, Raiffeisen bank were interested but Agroglob immediately doubled the price so competitors gave up this market match.
Events related to Transpetrol, as many think, represent one of the biggest stories in agriculture of Banat. Trustees say they lost millions of euros and they wonder how it is possible that large quantities of corn, maize, fertilizer and other material stored at Transpetrol silos simply vanished and that owners of these agricultural products were not paid.
