As of May 1, in seven towns in Serbia, replacement of old heat substations within the fourth stage of the Program of rehabilitation of distant heating system totaling EUR 4,3 m funded by the Government of Serbia and German Development Bank KfW will start.

During the upcoming summer, buildings, hospitals and other institutions in Subotica, Sabac, Krusevac, Zrenjanin, Pirot, Valjevo and Kraljevo will get new substations.

Within the fourth stage of the Program of distance heating rehabilitation, Backa Palanka, Ruma, Novi Pazar, Jagodina, Bor, Negotin and Leskovac will also get new substations but they will be installed in these cities during the summer 2016..

The entire business of substations replacement totals EUR 4,3 m and it was won at the tender recently by consortium comprising Nis-based Feniks BB and Austrian Herz armaturen.

Owner of Feniks BB, Bratislav Blagojevic, said to Beta agency the company has already started building heating substations which are 100% result of domestic intelligence.

He said that set up of modern substations is a pre-requisite for heating payment collection per consumed heat as well as for energy efficiency increase and reliable heating.

Blagojevic said that thanks to win at the tender in Nis, 50 people more, apart from 40 fully-employed will be hired at Feniks.
