30 Croatian companies interested in production of "zastava 10"

About 30 companies from Croatia are interested in resumal of collaboration with "Zastava" on the program for production of domestic "punto", that is, model "zastava 10". On that occasion, the business delegation of Croatia is the guest of "Zastava" since yesterday (May 28, 2007), where they will be represented "zastava 10" project.

Afterwards, Croatian businessmen will speak with the management of "Zastava" about the possibilities of joining the program for regional production of parts and positions for "zastava 10", of which assembling in the units of Kragujevac-based automobile factory starts between June 10 and 15.

Let us remind that, during the first three months, domestic "punto" will be assembled from the parts delivered from Italy, whereas the parts manufactured in the companies from the region, first of all, from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia, will be built in starting from autumn. The priority will be given to those companies that already positioned on our market through procurement of Zastava’s companies ("Tapacirnica", "Livnica", "Alatnica"...), or through construction of their own factories (TPV from Novo Mesto).

Among the companies from Croatia interested in joining production of "punto" are car battery factory "Munja" from Zagreb, Tool Factory "Đuro Đaković", "Rade Končar", Stock Company "Plastik" from Solin, "DIV" from Samobor, Zagreb-based "Deloda", "Supra" from Osijek and others.

People from Zastava auto say that only the companies that manage to meet the criteria and standards of “Fiat” will be included in the production of domestic "punto".
