Success of local start-up in London - Strawberry energy in the finals of smart cities competition
One Serbian startup entered the finals of the Cognicity Challenge competition in London as the only one in its category which is not from Great Britain – it is the Strawberry energy startup which invented solar platform for WiFi and cell phone charging Strawberry Tree. With its placement in the finals, Strawberry energy became a new member of accelerator for smart cities development.
-The smart cities concept made in line with people’s needs with reduced carbon-dioxide emission and healthier environment is the trend which an increasing number of cities worldwide is trying to use in their urban environments - Milos Milisavljevic, a founder and company head at Strawberry energy says- It is a great honor hat one of the biggest companies in GB in the real estate field recognized the importance of our solution for smart cities of the future such as London.
During the next three months, this startup will have the chance to develop their smart solar installations with active mentoring by Canary Wharf Group manager and other experts such as Intel and Innovate UK. After that, the competition winner will be announced and it will receive 50.000 pounds and an option to implement its solution in London.
Strawberry energy is within the Integrated resources management category with 5 local startups more. Other categories startups competed in were Connected homes, Virtual design, Integrated transport, Sustainable buildings and Automated systems in construction.
