Halifax as official friend and translation provider for Eurosfera's international seminar United Kingdom and Serbia – Creating Strategic Partnerships
Halifax has alwayssupported cooperation between United Kingdom and Serbia. In the last two yearsHalifax has been actively involved as a full member of the British-SerbianChamber of Commerce and it was therefore natural to participate in theinternational seminar United Kingdom and Serbia – Creating StrategicPartnerships, held on 27 February in the Club of Deputies and organized byEurosfera. Halifax presented itself as a `great friend` of the seminar andofficial translation company.
“Weprovided translation of all the printed materials during preparations for theevent and simultaneous translation at the seminar itself”, said Mr DavidLythgoe, consultant at Halifax. “Our cooperation with Eurosfera began inOctober last year when they took part in the conference Serbia InvestmentDay in London. Since then Halifax has been Eurosfera`s partner fortranslation purposes. We are delighted to have an opportunity to contribute inthis way to promoting cooperation between the two countries and strengtheningtheir friendship.”
This was the thirdconference dedicated to relations between the United Kingdom and Serbia andgathered high-level representatives of institutions, businesses, cities andmunicipalities from both countries. The aim of the event was to explorepotential investment in projects and cooperation between the two countries inthe fields of healthcare, education, tourism, the pharmaceutical industry,construction, infrastructure projects, transport, trade, banking,public-private partnerships and other sectors of mutual interest.
Halifax is especiallyproud of its simultaneous interpreters whose competence did not go unnoticed.Both organizers and participants praised them, and Ms Karen Lumley, Chair ofthe UK Parliament`s All-Party Parliamentary Group for Serbia, personallycomplimented them on their work. She particularly highlighted theirprofessionalism and accuracy, which was noticeable even in the case of the mostchallenging speakers.
