Cimos to close production section in Kikinda as of April 2015
Management of Cimos group announced that late March will see shut down of the Topli delovi department at Livnica Kikinda - Automobilska industrija". This decision was explained with economic crisis and financial difficulties which lead to implementation of pre-bankruptcy settlement.
For some time now, Cimos has been looking for a solution how to, in operating departments, keep a number of employees from “Toplih delova" (Hot parts) but for 300 people they have not found positions so they will become surplus manpower, it was stated in Cimos announcement.
As it was said, all the staff that lose their jobs will be entitled to the rights in line with the Labor Law: the right to proportional vacation, salary payment and reimbursement, the plant claim.
In Livnica Kikinda – Automobilska industrija, three sections with 930 people will continue functioning and Cimos will keep the plant in Secanj which also producers automotive industry components where 228 people work. The decision of Cimos is, as it was communicated, to offer free and unprofitable departments for sale or rent so that people who became surplus manpower, could find jobs with other employers. Agreement for sale of one previously closed production department to Kikinda-based Grindex has been in the final stage, Kikinda media report.
