Serbia and Belarus produce furniture?

The Ambassador of Belarus in Serbia, Vladimir Chusev, said he expects goods exchange between two countries reaches USD 500 m in the next few years.

At the lecture "Bilateral relations of Belarus and Serbia " at the Faculty for diplomacy and safety outlined that last year goods exchange scope totaled USD 245 m but that there is room to improve it.

So far, the two countries have signed a number of agreement contracts such as Free trade agreement but it is necessary to work more actively on their implementation, Belarus ambassador said.

Cusev reminded that visa-free regime, double taxation absence and investment protection facilitates trade between Serbia and Russia. He outlined that the objective of the economic cooperation is, among other things, development of mutual companies.

- The plans are to produce furniture mutually and that firefighting cars are assembled in Serbia.

Cusev underlined that Serbia and Belarus have long history of friendly relations as well as that his country does not recognize independency of Kosovo and supports Serbia in its attempts to protect its non-material and cultural heritage in that region.
