Europe heats Pančevo - EAR donates 4.43m EUR for construction of hot water pipeline

Memorandum of agreement on Project for construction of hot water pipeline in Pančevo has been signed in that town and it will enable construction of modern heating plant and turning off of boiler rooms powered by crude oil.
The project worth 4.4m EUR will be implemented thanks to the donation of European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR), so that Pančevo will get modern heating plant and hot water pipeline, 5.5 km long, prior to autumn 2008.
The apartments in the largest Pančevo’s settlements - Kotež, Tesla and Strelište, will be heated in that way, whereas 16 non-ecological crude oil-powered boiler rooms will be turned off.
The Memorandum has been signed by the Head of the Belgrade office of EAR, Daniel Giuglaris, President of Town Hall of Pančevo, Srđan Miković, and the Manager of Public Company "Grejanje", Dejan Tucović.
According to the words of Giuglaris, EAR will also provide funds for remote heating systems in Valjevo, Čačak, Užice and Subotica.
The works in all cities will be carried out by the consortium of companies "Jedinstvo” from Užice, Maribor-based "Montivar" and "Projektomontaža" from Belgrade.
