Serbia's science in European Union

Minister of Science in the Government of Serbia, Ana Pešikan, said that Serbia was rightful and equal member of European Union.

She explained that our State had acquired that status by signing the Memorandum on admission of Serbia into the program for scientific researches and experimental development on June 13, 2007, in Brussels.

- Our scientists now have access to all European funds just like any other scientist from Europe - said Pešikan and added that those funds amounted to about 50 billion EUR.

The Minister said that our next task was to link science and economy, pointing out that science should be the base for development of society.
