Zemun to get Stepa as well - Ministry of Defense will deliver another barracks for settlement building

The Ministry of Defense will deliver to the Construction directorate of Serbia, the "Aleksa Dundić" barracks for construction of a settlement in exchange for flats to military entities totaling EUR 12 m.

Future flats will be built at the location only five minutes far from the center of Zemun and the Pupin bridge. The main enterance to the barracks, known as the Konjicka skola, is from Cara Dusana street.

As "Blic" reports, GDS could not reveal details with respect to future residential complex since discussions have been in progress .

Although the area is smaller than the "4. juli" barracks where Stepa Stepanovic settlement was built, possibilities of mass flat building at the location are huge. Barracks was bombed in 1999 and it has been almost abandoned lately.
