The first license of port operator for Kostolac

("TE-KO Kostolac") "Termoelektrane-kopovi Kostolac" got the first license for performing activities of port operator at the Republic of Serbia, the Electric Power Industry of Serbia announced. The license, in line with the Law on sailing and ports at internal waters, was issued for the first time since its set up by the Agency for ports management.

Agency for ports management gave its consent to the Plan and program of performing port activity at dock for its own needs in Kostolac as well as to Economic justification study for the port for its own needs in Kostolac.

The investment-technical documentation for the dock construction has been in the final stage where acquiring the status of port operator is one of important pre-conditions for construction of the dock and construction permit issuance. As one of the steps in construction of the dock, it is necessary that project documentation runs through control of audit commission of responsible ministry. Signing of the Contact on activity between TE-KO "Kostolac" and the Agency for managing ports follows which generates conditions for obtaining necessary permits and approvals for construction of the dock Kostolac. According to current plants, construction of the dock should start by the end of this year.
