"Boeing" increased prices of airplanes by 5.5%
American "Boeing" has increased the prices of their airplanes by about 5.5%, including model 787 "dreamliner", which will have its debut next month, due to higher expenses of manpower and materials.
- The increase in prices is in accordance with the inflation rate for industrial products – said Jim Condels, the spokesperson of company "Boeing" and added that the expenses of manpower were the main reasons that influenced the price increase.
New “Boeing 787" costs between 146 and 200m USD, about 6% more than in the official price catalogue for year 2006. The price of "boeing 737", which registered more than 7,000 orders during 40 years of sales, jumped from 47 to 80.5m USD in 2006.
