Shareholders of Holcim approved merging with Lafarge
Shareholders of Swiss cement plant approved on Friday, May 8, 2015 the project of merging with French "Lafarge" in order to set up the biggest world group in the sector whose annual profit should total EUR 35 billion.
For merge with French cement plant 93,7% of present shareholders
voted after which the share price at the stock market in Paris jumped to 3,16%, while the share price in "Holcim"
na at the stock market in Zurich increased by 1,72%, Reuters reports.
Merging of two companies should end in July this year. New group "LafargeHolcim", the future leader
in cement, pebbles and concrete production which have around 130 thousand of
people in hundred countries worldwide.
The American Federal Trading Commission gave the green light for merge on Monday.
