Human body as part of communication network - Ericsson connects people and devices
"Connected print" is Ericsson’s concept which shows how from different subjects, through printed sensors, we can get information and using human body as a conductor, transfer them on smart phones or tablets.
Using this technology, human body is becoming a part of
communications network. Signals passing body carry information to devices such
as printers, sound bars or screens transmitting music, photos or other content.
In this case, "Connected print" concept enables us to get through
only a touch information from paper or other surface which has printed
electronic, Ericsson communicated.
- Ericsson is developing this technology as a part of creative approach to
connecting people and devices within our vision of implementation of Networked
society. We showed the proof of the concept – how our body can be a part of
communication network and transmit information from subjects around us and give
new dimension of mobile communication and networking of all around us. Implementation
can be multiple: in transport, medicine, everyday interaction with subjects in
our environment - Milena Matic, manager at "Ericsson" for marketing, strategy and communication said.
