Soon, money sending from abroad via mobile phone

- Citizens of Serbia obtained 3 billion USD from cousins and friends from abroad in 2006, which is nearly equal to half of value of total Serbia's export - the Governor of National Bank of Serbia, Radovan Jelašić, estimated.

The Governor said that NBS was negotiating with one of the mobile telephone operators in order to enable money transfer via mobile phone, and the payment would be carried out through debit cards in Serbia.

Also, the efforts are invested in the design of a new system, similar to classical sending of warrants, and the payment would also be carried out through debit cards.
