Companies from UAE interested in Serbian ports
It was communicated today by the president of the UAE state-owned company which operates mid and small ports, Arif Obaid Al Dehail and the minister of construction, traffic and infrastructure of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic, her ministry reported.
- We are interested
in cooperation in port business and we would like to invite all companies to
see the options of goods transport through Serbia via rivers - Mihajlovic said at the meeting with the first
man of the company which has been managing ports for more than 200 years in 65
countries worldwide.
As communicated, Al Dehail outlined P&O Ports is interested in ports in Serbia and for the options of faster goods transport from Belgrade to Konstanza, especially of fresh fruit and vegetables, outlining that transport of goods through that route lasts for 20 days.
-Our interest is first fo all to be an operator in a Serbian port through direct investments and mutual investments - Al Dehail said and announced that during the day, he will visit Novi Sad port.
He confirmed the expert team of his company will come to Serba to do feasibility study of port potentials.
Serbia has many options to develop ports and river transport since Corridors 10 and 11 intersect or have contact with the Danube with the route of 588 km through Serbia Zorana Mihajlovic said.
