First field unveiled on Serbian version of Monopoly gameboard

The first field on Monopoly Serbia gameboard - Square Nine Hotel Field - has been officially unveiled at Square Nine Hotel.

On the occasion of the 80th birthday of this boardgame, the Monopoly maker have decided to celebrate it by making the Serbian version of the game, which will hit stores in November. Serbia deserved this honor because of the interest in Monopoly game our citizens showed in the past.

Voting for the fields to appear on the board in addition to Square Nine Hotel will be open for the next two weeks.

Peter Griffin, the director for Europe, the Near East and Africa at Winning Moves, which produces Monopoly, announced that the hotel Square Nine, as the best hotel in Serbia, deserved to get its own field on the board given its status, reputation and the opinion of fellow citizens.

- Square Nine is the only known field on the board for now, while other 22 fields will be officially unveiled in November - Griffin said in his address.
