Free zone Sabac expanded for 200 ha - Five Italian companies pour more than EUR 20 m and employ 300 people
Five Italian companies, Camozzi
industries, Biemme internationale, Vopachel, Tranflex and ODS Technology decided
to invest in Sabac, They will invest more than EUR 20 m and provide work for
300 people which were more than excellent results of the Government of Serbia
to make Decision to expand Free zone. With this Decision, Free zone expanded
from 45, to 245 ha.
All firms have already signed contracts and
space adaptation has been in progress, i.e. construction of plants, the mayor
of Sabac, Nebojsa Zelenovic says for eKapija.
- These are companies operating in production of components for pneumatics, sanitary equipment, industrial bags, conveyor belts for heavy load, car components – Zelenovic said. He adds that space for expanded free zone has been provided.

Camozzi, was the first one to start investing by purchasing a hall of 7.000 m2. This company’s investment will total EUR 10 m and it will hire 100 people, 50 of vacancies only for highly-educated engineers.
Biemme international, which operates in production of showers and sinks for EU
market and developing countries, is planning to put into operation its
production in Sabac in September. The company has already rented a hall on
2.200 m2 and a few weeks ago they delivered machines and started preparation of
facility.
The only company which has been operating in Free zone in Sabac is also Italian company Veskovini, which opened SBE Serbia for production of mechanical parts for automotive industry.
The mayor of Sabac says for our portal that local companies are also interested in investments in Free zone Sabac as well as companies from Macedonia, Russia, Japan, Germany and Turkey. That is the reason why , the City administration is directly focused on creating terms for favorable operations since it is a condition for a town to prosper and higher standard for citizens’ lives.
Fees for construction land development in Sabac decreased by 50%, and they also outline they are in the group of towns which are the fastest in issuing construction permits. There are numerous benefits for investors in agriculture which they see as a strategic field for their town.
Citizens of Sabac have high hopes for construction of the port at the Sava which would enable cheap transport for economy and rank Sabac among the most important centers. They also expect a lot from Ruma to Sabac which would enable larger number of plants in the Industrial zone which would mean higher salaries and better life for citizens of Sabac.
