TIKA sets aside EUR 1 million for rehabilitation of Gynecology and Obstetrics Ward in Novi Pazar

Deputy President of the Turkish Development Agency (TIKA) Sureja Polat and the director of General Hospital in Novi Pazar, Dr. Mirsad Djerlek, have signed an agreement on general reconstruction of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Ward, for the purpose of which about EUR 1 million will be set aside.
- Reconstruction of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Ward represents one of the most significant investments in the health system of General Hospital - it was assessed after the agreement signing.
As it was agreed at the meeting, TIKA is going to invest about EUR 1 milllion in this project, which includes complete regeneration of the space and renovation of floors, walls and installations in neonatology and gynecology and maternity wards. Guests from Turkey saw the conditions in which babies are delivered in Novi Pazar. They visited operating rooms, official premises and patients' rooms, but they also discussed project details and dynamics of work that will commence within the next ten days or so.
The two parties also agreed at the meeting to resume cooperation upon the reconstruction of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Ward, which includes the procurement of equipment and furniture, exchange of experience and doctors and professional training, local media have reported.
