Vibac to open factory in Jagodina in September 2015

The process of assembling machines is underway in the factory for producing adhesive tapes of the Italian company Vibac in Jagodina and should be finished by September, when this factory is supposed to be put into operation. This investment is valued at EUR 70 million, and the factory in Jagodina, on a surface area of 63,000 square meters, will employ over 400 workers, said Dragan Markovic Palma, the president of the City Assembly of Jagodina, who toured this factory today in company with investors, associates and contractors.
Markovic thanked the owner and president of Vibac, Pietro Battista, for "choosing Serbia and Jagodina as the destination for one of the biggest factories built in Serbia in the past ten years."
- There will be seven Italian factories in this location by the year's end. This is going to be the biggest Italian industrial zone in Europe - said Markovic.
To express gratitude for good cooperation, the owner of Vibac named the biggest production machine in the new factory Palma.
Vibac has an annual turnover of more than EUR 300 million and employs about 800 workers at the moment.
