Fiat Chrysler’ considers sale of ‘Magneti Marelli’ the producer of auto parts

At least two U.S. private-equity funds are interested in cooperation with companies from auto field in this business. A recent offer including a U.S. fund estimated ‘Magneti Marelli’ at 2.5 billion EUR, but ‘Fiat Chrysler’ has refused that offer. The Company clearly states that they expect the price of at least 3 billion EUR, says one of Reuters’ sources.

U.S. spokesman for ‘Fiat Chrysler’ Gualberto Ranieri has said that ‘Magneti Marelli’ is not for sale. However, some sources claim that ‘Fiat Chrysler’ could after all sell this company either in entirety or in parts, due to high indebtedness. The final decision has not been made yet.
