Sertic started talks with the representatives of the protected companies

The Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic talked to the management and the company unions for underground exploitation of coal (PEU)’Resavica’ and ‘Trayal corporation’ from Krusevac yesterday, and thus started a series of meetings with the representatives of 17 companies in restructuring process, to which the privatization process has been delayed for maximum a year.

According to the announcement of the Ministry of Economy, Sertic talked to the representatives of Resavica and Tryal about business and results of these companies and their plans for the future.

Sertic pointed out that there will be no extention of deadlines for privatization of this group of companies and that the state has no more assets or will to support insolvent business.

- These companies have a market potential, but the contribution and the effort of finding a solution and partners must be put by everyone – management, unions, workers and state. The goal is to create a precise action plan for solving their destiny- said Sertic.

The Minister stressed that the meetings with all 17 strategic companies will be held in the future regularly in order to monitor results and control of realization of plans.
