Italians dispose waste in Grocka - "Magip" company got a job under 25-year contract, it invests EUR 10 million and employs 155 more workers
"Magip" company d.o.o, owned by Italians, won a tender, called in May in the municipality of Grocka, for an appropriate partner to invest in comunal sector in the following 25 years. Among the three companies that submitted offers, "Magip" won a job due to a twice bigger offer than expected.
Italians will invest EUR 10 million in the process of communal waste collection, transport and disposal, as well as distribution of thermal energy, and employ 155 workers.
- We are satisfied to solve a longterm problem of waste disposal. Apart from new vehicles, there will be new trash cans too, while old containers will be the past - said Stefan Dilberovic, Grocka Municipality President.
- Another significant fact is that the price of garbage disposal and central heating will be reduced, along with far better service. We expect the company to start works in the following three months.
In order to commence its business operations, "Magip" company needs a permission of the Municipality of Grocka.
Cheaper central heating
Apart from a better service, people in Grocka will also have lower prices of waste disposal, from 7 to 10%, and the central heating will be cheaper by 5 to 10%, depending on the service category.
