The first PPP contract in Belgrade signed - Italian Magic and Grocka municipality cooperate on waste disposal
On Thursday, in the Grocka municipality, the first public-private partnership contract was signed by
Stefan Dilberovic, president and Gianmarino Luiggi, the head of Magip. City
manager, Goran Vesic and Milos Petrovic, state secretary at the Ministry of
trade, Beoinfo reports, attended the signing.
Goran Vesic outlined this is the first PPP agreement at the territory of
Belgrade and that there will be more of them in the future.
Speaking about the decision of the City Assembly on two biggest projects, Vesic outlined Vinca landfill project as a very important one for Grocka.
The second big project refers to public transport and inclusion of private partners in public city transport system.
For the next year, two new PPP projects have been announced, the first one in sewerage field with five waste water plants at the territory of the city as well as public lightning system. druge This is definitely yet but the beginning of these projects since there is room for water supply, road and other infrastructure where we can also cooperate with a reliable partner and the important thing is that we all have our interest to make citizens happy with the service. I am sure that regardless of the government, in the next 25 years, we will have good cooperation with Magip – Dilberovic outlined.
