DB Schenker is becoming logistics partner of Siemens Austria
Siemens assigned a significant part of its logistics activities to DB Schenker in Austria which, as a provider of integrated logistics services, succeeded in winning numerous national and international competitors at tender.
The agreement has recently been signed in Vienna by Alexander
Winter, executive board member at DB Schenker for Austria and SEE and Dr. Deter
Hinteregger, head of management of supply chain for EMEA region in Siemens AG
Austria.
Services of DB Schenker comprise all transports in Austria and refer to all
segments and divisions of Siemens. The scope of goods which is transported
ranges from industrial such as rail parts and transformers to special parts for
automotive and construction industry and goods for health sector. To guarantee
impeccable communication flow, DB Schenker introduced a special communication
platform for the staff at Siemens.
