ZELEZARA SMEDEREVO: Investigation initiated by company management

In regard to media articles related to ongoing police investigation at Zelezara Smederevo, people at that company has announced in a release that the new management of this company, after having discovered certain irregularities, has initiated before the authorities an investigation after which the Section for Corporate Crime at the Police Authority Belgrade sent its inspectors to investigate mentioned irregularities.

- Management of the company is of the ultimate attitude to stand against all irregularities on the same way and nobody will be protected - the release reads.

Zelezara Smederevo officials added that in this particular case, and at this time, activities were not directed against individuals but towards resolving and extermination of bad practices in business operations.

After having finished the investigation the media shall be informed adequately about the results of that investigation, it is said in the release.
